From here explore the capital of Georgia, with popular attractions including the Martin Luther King Historic Site, the birthplace of the civil rights leader, the Georgia Aquarium, the largest aquarium in the world and World of Coca Cola, which gives the history of this iconic brand.
From Atlanta head east to historic Charleston, one of the best preserved cities of the original 13 British Colonies that later became the United States of America. The architecture reflects the wealth and ambition of the colonial period, known locally as The Holy City, for is rich collection of churches of many denominations. The waterfront park is perhaps best viewed on board a water taxi tour of the harbour. Pick your perfect city centre hotel from our selection within Charleston.
Spend a day in Beaufort, a charming coastal town, with a mix of historic antebellum homes and the Hunting Island State Park, with its secluded barrier island and 19th century lighthouse, which offers amazing views of the local area. Heading further down the coast to Savannah, you will reach the bustling port city of Savannah. Its historic waterfront district has been restored showcasing the buildings of the colonial and civil war eras including the impressive and ornate Cathedral of St John the Baptist. We have selected a number of hotels within this historic district to suit a range of budgets.
Jekyll Island is the historic playground of some of the wealthiest American families including the Vandebilts and Rockefellers. The Jekyll Island Club Hotel is now no longer reserved for the elitist families and is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the unspoilt beaches that stretch for ten miles. A Jekyll Wharf Boat Tour is a great way in which to explore the island, with dolphins frequently sighted.
From Jekyll Island head back to Atlanta and spend a final day enjoying the wealth of attractions, shopping and entertainment the city offers, before heading back to the airport on your final day of your multi-centre holiday and dropping off your hire car before your flight home.
