Sample Itinerary of Orlando to Washington Trip

Days 1-3

Fly from the United Kingdom with either British Airways or Virgin Atlantic direct into Orlando International Airport where you will pick up your hire car and make your way to downtown Orlando. We have chosen the Crowne Plaza on International Drive, for its central location and its great on site facilities including large pool, restaurants and free shuttles taking you to the attractions across the city. Whether you want to ride the fastest rollercoasters or swim with dolphins, Orlando is an exciting place to begin your adventure holiday in America. The flexibility of this holiday means you can extend your stay in Orlando should you wish to spend more time exploring the area. From Orlando start your journey north stopping at the city of St Augustine. The oldest city in the United States has a rich history stretching back to the Spanish Explorers of the 16th century. Today the city is full of reminders of its long history, with a historic district full of beautiful restaurants shops and coffee houses. Your hotel for the night is the Courtyard Marriott just outside of the city, complete with outdoor pool and spa, and large modern guest rooms.

Days 3-4

Savannah is the jewel in the crown of the South-East American coast, a bustling port city which has grown around its location as a key Atlantic coast port. The historic district with its restored waterfront showcases beautiful colonial and civil war era architecture. The Hilton Garden Inn is situated in the heart of the historic district, a contemporary hotel with modern guestrooms and suites complete with heated outdoor pool and spa.

Days 4-6

Charleston is the next destination on your holiday in America; the town is home to beautiful colonial era houses, with a waterfront park that is best experienced by taking a water taxi around the harbour. Today it remains a bustling port town, with both cargo and cruise liners. While in Charleston you will be staying at the highly recommended King Charles Inn a great base from which to explore the city. It includes an outdoor pool and sundeck a relaxing area to unwind after a long day visiting the attractions of the local area.

Days 6-8

Williamsburg is home to the most extensively restored 18th century settlement in the United States, giving you a real insight into the early years of British colonial settlement of the New World. From here you can explore the settler towns of the area and the beautiful fishing ports of the Chesapeake Bay. The Clarion in Williamsburg is a great hotel and is located in the historic district of the town, offering large guestrooms with a modern finish and a complete range of amenities, including an indoor heated pool.

Days 8-10

Your final destination on this amazing self-drive holiday is the capital of the United States, Washington DC. Home to world renowned museums, monuments and galleries, this city also boasts great parks and a diverse range of restaurants and bars with entertainment day and night. The Phoenix Park Hotel is inspired by an Irish heritage, with a luxury finish across the hotel. It is highly rated for its service and location, within sight of Capitol Hill, the location could hardly be better for exploring the cities wealth of attractions.

On your final day drive to Washington Dulles International Airport to drop off your hire car and board your flight home to the United Kingdom.
