With not long left to go, we are beginning to count down the days until October 1st as this is officially the start date of Walt Disney World’s 18-month Anniversary extravaganza. Disney will be putting on “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” and are inviting you along to enjoy the spectacular shows and events for all Florida holidays 2022!

Mickey and Minnie Mouse will be your hosts for “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” during Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary and, along with your other favourite Disney characters, will be dressed in the new EARidescent fashions for the 18th month 50th Anniversary event. You will see Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Donald and Daisy Duck, Goofy, Pluto and Chip ‘n’ Dale sporting their own shimmering EARidescent looks as they travel through Magic Kingdom several times a day in the all new “Mickey’s Celebration Cavalcade”.
Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels will be given access to all new early theme park entry, giving them the chance to enjoy select attractions at ALL the Disney theme parks, everyday! These Disney Resort hotel guests and guests of other select hotels will be the first each day to experience the all new EARidescent decorations, character’s outfits, and new golden sculptures across the four theme parks! Disney guests staying at one of the Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resort hotels will also be able to enjoy extended evening hours on select nights in select theme parks!
Disney Resort guests will also be able to use a multitude of services such as complimentary on-site transportation and the direct-to-room service available in the My Disney Experience app. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Contemporary Resort will also be unveiling new reimagined rooms for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary.
On October 1st in Magic Kingdom Disney guests will be able to experience a brand-new night-time spectacular: “Disney Enchantment”. “Disney Enchantment” has been specially created to launch “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” and will light up Magic Kingdom’s Main Street, U.S.A. all the way to Cinderella’s Castle with incredible immersive projections, fantastic fireworks and magical music that will mesmerise you and bring the Magic of Disney to life!
Disney’s EPCOT is also launching its own night-time spectacular “Harmonious” that will use Disney music to bring together the globe at World Showcase Lagoon. “Harmonious” will be a show filled with pyrotechnics, choreographed moving fountains, lighting and media in never-before-seen ways at a Disney theme park!
Animal Kingdom is also hosting a new daytime 50th Anniversary event that will see performers flying windcatchers and kites of all shapes and sizes while huge three-dimensional kites fly high over the River Amphitheatre depicting Disney animal friends such as Simba, Zazu, Baloo and King Louie.
The Walt Disney World theme parks will also be newly decorated for the 50th Anniversary spectacular: Hollywood Studios’ Tower of Terror will light up gold, Cinderella’s Castle will be newly dusted in pixie dust and covered in golden bunting, magical fireflies will inhabit the Tree of Life at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
