What’s New for 2023 and 2024 in Orlando

Planning your Florida Holiday 2024 has never been easier - With Charter Travel, your specialist Travel Consultant can help you make all your Orlando and Florida decisions. For example, finding accommodation in Florida can sometimes be overwhelming but your specialist Travel Consultant can help you make the decisions are right to your family, your holiday, your budget.

When staying in Florida, particularly Orlando, many travellers like to stay in an Orlando Villa as this enables you to have your own space, private pool, free parking, kitchens, and dining rooms where the whole family can be together. Some of our most popular Orlando Villa Resorts are Emerald Island Resort, Champions Gate Resort, Solterra Resort, and Windsor Hills Resort Orlando to name a few. Orlando Villas are self-catered however, and for those who want a catered accommodation option then you might prefer to stay in one of the amazing Orlando hotels. Some of our favourite hotels in Orlando are The Grove, Cabana Bay, The Hard Rock Hotel Universal Orlando, Disney's Port Orleans Resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge, and The Rosen Inn among others. There are so many options for accommodation in Orlando, each to suit a different budget, so the best thing to do is talk to your Travel Consultant about which option is right for you.

Orlando Villa

Another amazing resort to stay at in Florida on your 2024 holiday is Margaritaville Orlando Resort. This Resort is unlike many others in Orlando and is home to both self-contained cottages, similar to an Orlando Villa, and a hotel complex with a pool and other resort amenities. Margaritaville Orlando Resort is also ideally located close to the Walt Disney World theme parks. Next to Margaritaville Resort Orlando is Sunset Walk - Sunset Walk is home to shops and restaurants and is one of Orlando’s newest attractions. If you are visiting over a holiday, for example New Year's Eve, then sunset walk is the place to be as the Promenade turns into a hub of festivities.

Of course, the main attractions in Orlando are the Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort theme parks. New rides for next year and 2024 at Universal Orlando include the Jurassic World VelociCoaster and Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. Though these rides have been around a while now, many of us have not been able to experience them due to travel restrictions last year. New additions to the two existing Universal theme parks will be a little scarce in 2023 and 2024 as in 2025 a whole new theme park, Universal's Epic Universe, with brand new rides and resort hotels will be opening. In the meantime, there is still plenty to see and do at Universal Resort Orlando – especially if you haven’t visited since before 2020. If you are planning to visit Universal Resort Orlando in peak times, for example Summer School Holidays, Christmas, and Easter it is highly recommended to book in advance due to high demand. We also find that these periods can be extremely busy, so staying at one of the three Universal Orlando Resort hotels that offer Free Unlimited Express Passes when staying there (Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort) is an ideal way to ensure you get to ride all your favourite rides at Universal without wasting precious time queuing.

Journey to Atlantis

Walt Disney World also has a whole host of new rides and attractions for 2023 and 2024. TRON Lightcycle Run will be coming to Magic Kingdom along with a Splash Mountain makeover that will see it reimagined as Tiana's Bayou Adventure. There are also plans for a huge expansion behind Big Thunder Mountain, though details are yet to be revealed. Epcot is also being reimagined to include new lands such as the World Nature neighbourhood with Journey of Water, inspired by Moana. In terms of hotels, Disney’s Polynesian Resort is planning a new tower opening in 2024 - the tower will be built on the old Spirit of Aloha site and will offer incredible views across the lagoon. There are also many more planned new restaurants, attractions, and shows you won't want to miss coming in 2023 and 2024 to Walt Disney World.

It is never too early to start planning your 2024 Florida holiday, especially if you're planning to book during peak times like the Summer School Holidays, Christmas and Easter as these are times that get booked up extremely fast.
