July 2024
July 2024 is a great time to have your family Florida holiday as you will be able to enjoy the lovely summer weather and July festivities going on in Florida.
A great area to visit on your 2024 Florida holiday in July is Anna Maria Island; though you would expect more crowds, July often sees fewer crowds in these smaller beach towns since those who flocked to Florida for the warm winter weather have now gone back to their home states. July is a great time to enjoy Anna Maria Island thanks to their lovely firework display for the 4th of July festivities. While you are waiting for spectacular 4th of July fireworks, be sure to enjoy the other activities going on, on Anna Maria Island including water sports activities like jet skiing and paddleboarding and biking around the island itself. The island is full local businesses and restaurants offering a small-town beach feel for your 2024 July Florida holiday.
Walt Disney World will also put on an Independence Day firework special that takes place nightly during July at Magic Kingdom and Epcot. July is also a great time to visit the many water parks Disney has to offer including Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney's Blizzard Beach as you can cool-off in warm July weather. At the Walt Disney World theme parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom you can expect larger crowds than you will have been seeing in the first half of the year.
At Universal Orlando you can also expect to see Independence Day fireworks – fun fact, July is the only month that Universal Orlando actually set off fireworks, so you are in for a real treat if you choose to holiday in Florida in July 2024! Before enjoying the evening firework display at Universal Orlando, be sure to experience all the attractions at Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure…Don’t forget to cool-off at Universal’s own waterpark Volcano Bay too whilst in Florida!
Other beloved theme parks in Florida will honour the Fourth of July celebrations with fireworks during July; at Legoland you will be able to see their “Red, White & BOOM” firework display and Busch Gardens in Tampa will also have a huge firework display during July.
Throughout Florida you will be able to see firework displays for Independence Day, not just in the fabulous theme parks. Orlando’s Lake Eola Park celebrates the 4th of July with a bang – inviting families of all ages to come and enjoy the festivities, Celebration FL (a town once owned by Walt Disney World) celebrate the day with an annual “Star Spangled Spectacular” fireworks show that visitors on their Florida holiday are welcome to go and enjoy, Miami is also known for its firework display on Independence Day and is said to host one of the most spectacular parties in the state! Wherever you are in Florida, you will be able to enjoy the July Independence Day festivities!
July is also a popular month to relax on many of Florida’s fabulous beaches – Cape Canaveral, Jacksonville Beach and Daytona are among some of the most popular beaches to visit in July as they are on Florida’s Atlantic Coast, meaning they are less likely to be affected by any tropical storms that may pass over Florida in July.
