Disney's Hollywood Studios - Lands and Attractions

What to expect at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is a super immersive land based in Disney's Hollywood Studios that includes 2 of Walt Disney World's most beloved attractions: Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. Galaxy’s Edge is as immersive as it gets; Galaxy’s Edge is also known as Black Spire Outpost, a crossroads on the faraway planet of Batuu, where the Resistance has now set up camp. In this outpost, you will find a variety of Star Wars ships including an A-wing and an X-wing fighter, plus a marketplace, a shopping and dining area, and a TIE Echelon fighter that is guarded by stormtroopers.

A popular place to eat at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is Oga's Cantina - a cocktail bar offering expertly themed Star Wars drinks, as well as snacks. This eatery often requires a reservation as it is extremely popular. Another interactive experience to be had at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the building of your very own lightsaber at Savi's Workshop or your very own robot at the Droid Depot (these also require reservations).

Toy Story Land

Toy Story Land is another film-based land at Disney's Hollywood Studios, designed on the ever-popular Toy Story Pixar films. In Toy Story land everything will be larger than life as you, the visitors, have been shrunk to the size of a toy and placed in Andy's backyard.

In Toy Story land you will find several rides, attractions, places to eat. The Slinky Dog Dash rollercoaster remains a very popular ride in Toy Story land, as does Toy Story Mania - a similar ride to Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger found in Magic Kingdom Park, you will need to complete a series of “shoot-em” games alongside your favorite Toy Story characters!

If you're looking for a bite to eat in Toy Story land Woody's Lunch Box offers some excellent quick service dining, Roundup Rodeo BBQ offers sit down table service, and the Toy Story land snap cart provides quick on-the-go snacks as you explore Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Sunset Boulevard

Sunset Boulevard is one of the first areas visitors come to at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and it offers a variety of dining, shopping, entertainment, and attractions for guests visiting the park. The two most iconic attractions located in Sunset Boulevard are Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror - both of these rides are thrill rides that offer excitement and fun for older children and adults.

In Sunset Boulevard, you'll also find a variety of shows including Fantasmic, Lightning McQueen's Racing Academy, and Beauty and the Beast - live on stage. Be sure to check the schedule of these shows when you are visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios.

After riding the intense thrill rides located in Sunset Boulevard, you may want to refuel; luckily, there are a variety of dining options in this area including Hollywood Scoops, a food cart serving a variety of ice creams, and the quick service dining Rosie’s All-American Café.

Hollywood Boulevard

Hollywood Boulevard in Disney's Hollywood Studios is designed to mimic the golden age of Hollywood, and it is here you find Mickey and Minnie 's Runaway Railway. This ride is designed to be fun for all the family and is an immersive, interactive experience with some of the most beloved Disney characters.

Of course, in Hollywood Boulevard, you will find a variety of places to eat and drink, including popcorn stalls, ice cream stands, and the Trolley Car Cafe quick service restaurant.

Animation Courtyard

Located just to the right of Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway is Animation Courtyard; this is a small land that houses two large theaters used for stage shows, plus several character meet and greets. Characters you may be able to meet here include Chewbacca from Star Wars, and a variety of characters from children’s Disney shows.

Food and Drink

Exploring Disney's Hollywood Studios is thirsty and hungry work - good thing there are plenty of restaurants and drink stops to enjoy throughout the park. There are over 20 places to eat and drink around the park, and here are a few of our favorites:

Table Service Dining

  • Roundup Rodeo BBQ - Roundup Rodeo BBQ is located in Toy Story land and offers a variety of BBQ food including steak, chicken, and ribs. It is open for lunch and dinner and is a great option for table service dining in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
  • Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant - Located in Commissary Lane, this restaurant offers an immersive, dine-in movie theme like one would have expected from the 1950s. Instead of tables and chairs, you are seated inside miniature classic cars, with rows of bench seating. There is a large movie screen which shows a variety of science fiction movies - this restaurant really is fun for the whole family.

Quick Service Dining

  • The Trolley Car Café - The Trolley Car Café is themed on a classic trolley car station and offers a unique experience for coffee lovers, including a selection of Starbucks coffee and specialty Disney baked goods.
  • Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo - Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo is arguably one of the best quick service dining options in Disney's Hollywood Studios and is located in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, to keep with the immersive theming of Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge you will choose be transported away from earth and into a galaxy far far away at this quick service restaurant.

Food Carts

Throughout Disney's Hollywood Studios, there is of course a variety of food stands and carts serving all kinds of snacks from popcorn, ice cream, pretzels, and more. Some of our favourites include the Jedi Training Courtyard Ice Cream Cart and Woody's Round-Up.
