Hi, I'm George, a senior Travel Specialist at Charter Travel. Over 25 years ago I began working in Travel after two years backpacking around the world, and I've been putting trips together ever since, creating the trips based on clients wishes and a few of my own ideas thrown in.
My travels took me through Australia, where I drove around Australia taking in Perth, Sydney, Uluru, and the amazing costlines along the way. I also covered the North and South Islands of New Zealand and most of South East Asia, including Thailand, Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. From there I carried on through the USA and Canada. The World is a very big place with so many wonders awaiting to be explored.
I later took time out to study for a Master's in History, and I now combine travel with my love of historical places whenever I can. I enjoy putting together the unusual and wonderful, from Roman ruins in the South of France this year to bucket-list trips like Antarctica, Machu Picchu and Pompeii. There's plenty more of Italy's Roman sites I'd love to see too.
I've also travelled to Bali and Singapore with my family and to the Maldives with my wife. In Sri Lanka, the highlights were Dambulla, Sigiriya and a leopard safari in Yala National Park. I've been to Las Vegas three times, taking in the Grand Canyon and staying at the Bellagio, which is hard to beat.
Florida is a destination I know well, and I love helping people plan it, it maybe a cliché but creating memories is what its all about. At Universal Orlando Resort, I'd recommend Universal's Aventura Hotel for couples and Universal's Sapphire Falls Resort for families, although Endless Summer offers exceptional family value. At Walt Disney World, my favourite hotel is Disney's Port Orleans Resort! Although, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort is a strong seccond as I love taking the Disney Skyliner to the parks. Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom are my favourite parks, though I still need to get back for Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge!
If you've already done the Florida parks, Disneyland Resort and Universal Studios Hollywood in California are also great. They're smaller, so they're ideal to combine with a bigger California trip, like a Pacific Coast Highway Road Trip. Universal Studios Hollywood feels very different from Florida, more like stepping onto a movie set.
One of my favourite destinations is Japan! The history, culture and food scene there are so facinating and unique and i can't wait to explore everything Japan has to offer.
Next on my list are Egypt, Jordan and Petra, and the quieter northern sections of the Great Wall of China, away from the tourist crowds. There are so many places still to go, and I'd love to help you plan yours. Whether you're after a once-in-a-lifetime historical adventure or a family trip to Florida or California, get in touch and let's start planning.

Drinking whisky with the locals in Cambodia at midnight as the full moon rose over Angkor Wat. It was such a surreal moment and I'll never forget it!
