I'm Gerard. I was born and brought up in India, lived there for 25 years and began my career in travel there after completing a Master's in Tourism. I moved to the UK more than 20 years ago, and I've worked in travel all my life. For you, that means I understand both sides: how things really work in India and Sri Lanka, and what you'll expect from your holiday as a traveller from the UK.
I hold IATA ticketing qualifications and have completed destination specialist courses for many destinations including Dubai and Jordan. But no qualification can replace what I've learnt on the job and from experiencing these destinations myself. I return to India at least once a year, often stopping in Sri Lanka on the way, and I still find something new every time. That first-hand, up-to-date knowledge goes straight into the holidays I plan for you.
Many of the suppliers I work with in India and Sri Lanka are people I've known for years. Some I knew before I even started my career, and many are now good friends. Those relationships help me put together the right holiday for you. They matter even more if something beyond our control happens while you're away, because I know exactly who to call and I know they'll take care of you.
As well as planning holidays to India, Sri Lanka, Vietnam and the Indian Ocean, I'm part of our ticketing team. I issue tickets and handle schedule changes and refunds, so you're in experienced hands for the practical details as well as the exciting ones.

Some of my favourite travel moments are the kind I love helping clients discover for themselves. In India, I've stood in front of the Taj Mahal, spotted Saya, the black panther of Kabini, enjoyed memorable midnight bike adventures in the forests of Bandipur, and been chased by a herd of bison in Nagarhole. I've cruised the Kerala backwaters on a houseboat, cooking fish caught along the way and sipping toddy fresh from the coconut trees.
In Sri Lanka, I'll never forget seeing my first leopard, Strawberry, with her two cubs, or watching elephants swim almost completely underwater in a river. In both countries I love the street food, and getting away to remote places where less really is more. If that sounds like you, I can show you where to find it.
Seeing Petra by night is still one of the most amazing things I've done, along with a night with the Bedouin in the Wadi Rum desert, gazing at the stars. There's still so much of Jordan I want to see, and so much more to learn about the Nabataeans.
