Hi, I'm Jason, a Senior Travel Consultant at Charter Travel with nearly 20 years of experience in the travel industry, particularly with planning Cruise and USA Holidays.
I got my first job in the industry while studying Travel & Tourism, and after a few detours into other careers, travel always pulled me back.
Today, I’m proud to be part of Charter Travel, where I specialise in holidays all around the world. While I love helping people discover every corner of the globe, my real passion is cruising. I've taken around 15 cruises with many different cruise lines including P&O Cruises, Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean, MSC Cruises, Princess and NCL Cruises, and there's something about waking up somewhere completely different each day that never gets old.
I'm fortunate to have travelled extensively over the years, experiencing different countries, cultures, landscapes and ways of life. Another great passion of mine is fishing, and I've been lucky enough to have fished on every continent of the world apart from the Arctic and Antarctic. My fishing adventures have taken me to some incredible places and occasionally put me a little closer to the action than I would have liked!
One memory that certainly stands out was fishing in the backwaters of the Florida Keys. I was in a small boat, fishing for much smaller fish, when a 250lb bull shark suddenly launched itself out of the water just three feet away from me. For a moment, it felt like my very own Jaws scene! It's certainly one of those travel experiences that stays with you.
There have been so many other unforgettable travel highlights that choosing just a few is almost impossible. More recently, I've enjoyed the excitement of Orlando, including visiting all of the Universal parks and experiencing the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World - a genuinely emotional moment and one I'll never forget.
I've sailed down the Nile, explored ancient temples and tombs, witnessed the power of Niagara Falls in winter when there were far fewer people around, and watched Mount St. Helens change and evolve over the years. I've also enjoyed plenty of city breaks along the way, always looking for an opportunity to discover somewhere new.
For me, travel isn't simply about ticking destinations off a map, it's about the experiences, the unexpected moments, the people you meet, the sights you see and, most importantly, the memories you bring home.
Whether you're dreaming of a cruise, a long-haul adventure, a family holiday, a city break or somewhere completely new, I love finding the right experience for every individual traveller, and I'm looking forward to helping you discover yours.
One of my favourite memories include watching an incredible sunset from a houseboat on the backwaters of Kerala, sailing into New York on one of my many cruises, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and walking across the glass skywalk overlooking the Grand Canyon.
Of course, my own adventures aren't finished yet! My current bucket list includes an African safari, seeing Victoria Falls and visiting Uluru in Australia, so there are still plenty of places left for me to explore.
