Zakynthos holidays is a classically beautiful Greek Island filled with amazing beaches, nightlife, restaurants, culture and activities for the whole family to enjoy! The highlight of Zante holidays is taking a day trip boat excursion to Navagio or Shipwreck Cove. Shipwreck Cove is the subject of many photography shoots for good reason: its turquoise waters, calm inlet and fascinating shipwreck on the golden sands makes it a truly unique experience and sight to behold. Kalamaki beach is possibly one of the best on the island due to its lack to tourists and high level of maintenance due to it being part of the Greek National Marine Park. This is a beach that those who love more secluded and not touristy areas will love – be sure to bring a packed lunch though as there is little more than one bar to disturb the natural landscape! Taking a boat trip to the Blue Caves is another fun and adventurous day out that will provide awe-inspiring sights of magnificent limestone sea caves and natural arches - the captain will likely let you jump off the boat into the warm Mediterranean Sea for a refreshing dip too! Access to the Blue Caves is only possible via the Sea and boats depart from the little harbour at Skinari so this is an excursion you’ll want to pre-book! Turtle spotting is another favourite from clients who visit Zakynthos (Zante) and from the southern harbours of Limni Keriou and Laganas you can set out on turtle-spotting cruises to the island of Marathonisi, normally on a glass-bottom boat - be sure to have your cameras at the ready! The Keri Caves are another beloved turtle-spotting spot and also a spot for swimming in the alluring turquoise sea whilst on your excursions. Banana Beach is one of the longest, and best, beaches on Zakynthos (Zante) and is much more built up than the others, meaning you will be able to partake in water sport activities including parasailing, jetskiing and waterskiing or simply relax on the golden sands under the warm sunshine. Those wanting to sample the local cuisine will also not want to miss a trip to the Aristeon Olive Press & Museum where you will be able to taste their homemade bread dipped in Aristeon’s oil – a must for cooking lovers! Zakynthos (Zante) is full of fun, beaches, restaurants, cafés, bars, culture and amazing sunshine – it is the perfect destination for a quick escape to the sunshine or as a stop-over that’s part of a bigger Greek island holiday!
