South Africa - Cape Town & The Garden Route

Day 1 - Arrival in Cape Town (Cape Town - 4 Nights):

After your arrival in Cape Town, settle into your chosen accommodation. We work with a variety of resorts and hotels in Cape Town — form boutique hotels to large luxury resorts like The One & Only Cape Town and The Victoria and Alfred Hotel. Simply let us know your budget and requirements and we will source the best hotel in Cape Town to suit you. Take a leisurely stroll along the vibrant V&A Waterfront, where you can explore shops, dine at restaurants, and enjoy beautiful views of the harbour. Depending on your time of arrival, you might want to enjoy a sunset cocktail at one of the waterfront bars.

Day 2 - Exploring Cape Town:

Start your day with a visit to Table Mountain. You can hike to the top or take the cable car for breathtaking views of the city and the surrounding coastline. In the afternoon, visit the historic Robben Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. It's a profound journey through South Africa's history. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner at one of Cape Town's many restaurants. The city is renowned for its culinary scene.

Day 3 - Cape Peninsula Day Trip:

Embark on a day trip along the stunning Cape Peninsula. Visit Hout Bay, where you can take a boat trip to Seal Island. Drive along Chapman's Peak Drive, one of the world's most scenic coastal roads, to reach Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Take in the panoramic views and explore the lighthouse. On the way back, stop at Boulders Beach to see the South African penguin colony. It's an ideal spot for a swim.

Day 4 - Cape Winelands (Optional Day Trip):

Consider taking a day trip to the nearby Cape Winelands, particularly Stellenbosch or Franschhoek. These areas are known for their picturesque vineyards and wine tastings. Explore charming wine estates, enjoy wine and food pairings, and savour a gourmet lunch at a local restaurant. Return to Cape Town in the evening.

Day 5 - 6 — Garden Route (1 Nights):

Begin driving the Garden Route where you will stop for the night in Hermanus, a coastal town known for its whale-watching opportunities. If your visit coincides with the whale season (usually between June and November), you can enjoy watching these magnificent creatures from the shore. Explore the town's art galleries, boutiques, and restaurants. Continue your journey along the Garden Route, a region known for its natural beauty and outdoor activities. Explore the coastal towns of Mossel Bay or Knysna, and be sure to stop at scenic viewpoints along the way. Consider a visit to the Tsitsikamma National Park for hiking and coastal views.

Day 7-  Cape Town

Head back to Cape Town for your final night. Consider exploring any remaining sites or indulging in some last-minute shopping. You can enjoy a farewell dinner at one of the city's renowned restaurants, or take one last stroll along the V&A Waterfront.
