When to visit Rwanda
When to visit Rwanda for gorilla trekking is a common concern for travellers planning a safari. The most popular time for gorilla trekking is from June to September, when the weather is dry, and the terrain is easier to navigate. The driest months are generally July to September and December to January, making it an ideal time to explore Rwanda's national parks. However, visiting during the rainy season from April to May and October to November has its advantages, including fewer crowds and lush greenery. If you're looking to save on gorilla permit prices, consider booking from November to May, when prices are generally lower.
