Days 1 – 3
Fly with one of our partnered airlines for example Singapore Airlines or Vietnam Airlines. Upon arrival in Hanoi you will be met by a driver and taken to the elegant Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi with its French colonial façade situated in the heart of the French Quarter in central Hanoi. The hotel is steeped in history and well known for many famous guests including Charlie Chaplin.
Many of Hanoi's main sites are located in the lively Old Quarter, a maze of lanes filled with food stalls, ancient architecture and a numerous motorbikes. Places of interest include Hanoi Opera House, National Museum of Vietnamese History and Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre.
The best way to get a feel for the city is by a city tour, the guide will inform you of the history as you visit One Pillar Pagoda, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, and the Temple of Literature and Tran Quoc Pagoda.
Days 3 – 5
Your driver will meet you at the hotel reception at drive you to embark your AuCo Halong Bay Cruise. Start your cruise with a set lunch while the ship cruises to the South West of Halong Bay, your first stop will be visit the Cua Van Floating market either by kayak or rowing boat. Once back on board the ship join the happy hour for a cocktail or two whilst enjoying the enchanting sunset of Halong bay before dinner.
The following morning rise early if you wish to partake in the Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck, as after breakfast you will be visiting a local island, where a pretty small village nestles and waits for you to explore. Spend your active morning cycling and touring the national park with a guide from crew members. Visit ancient houses and get to know about agricultural life.
After lunch on-board, kayak to one of the many beaches in the Ho Ba Ham Area. Followed by a BBQ on deck.
The following morning partake in another opportunity of the Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck or just sit and enjoy the spectacular sunrise, after breakfast an excursion to discover the Tien Ong Cave an archaeological site with stunning stalactites and stalagmites. Followed by check out and your transfer to Hanoi airport.
Days 5 – 8
Upon arrival at Hue airport you will be transferred to Lapochine Beach Resort, this beautiful resort is surrounded by exotic tropical gardens with palms trees and lotus ponds. The beach resort is 20 minutes from the centre of Hue and all of it attractions and after a day of sightseeing take some time to relax is with an Ayurveda therapy in the lavish spa, while the children are entertained in the kids club enjoying supervised games and activities.
During you stay we suggest a tour of Hue was once the Imperial capital and now listed as a World heritage site, the city sits on the banks of the Perfume River and offers citadels, palaces and royal tombs, the city tour will include Dragon boat trip to Thien Mu pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hue city, Dong Ba Market to see the local people going about their daily life, the Imperial Citadel, home of Vietnam's last royal dynasty, the Nguyen Dynasty. Lunch at a local restaurant and followed by Khai Dinh King’s Tomb, a combination of Western and Eastern architecture, Minh Mang King’s Tomb, the impressive and majestic symmetry of the architectural constructions finishing with a visit to Conical hat village.
Days 8 – 11
Leaving Hue you will travel along the spectacular Hai Van Pass with stunning mountain views and one of the most outstanding hillside roads in Vietnam. Your driver will take you to the Anantara Hoi An Resort an wonderful combination of riverside relaxation, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on your doorstep, and fabulous beaches just a short bicycle or boat ride away. This property is positioned on the banks of the Thu Bon River, Anantara Hoi An Resort in Vietnam is a charming boutique hotel in the historic port town of Hoi An. Designed with French, Dutch, Chinese and Japanese influences in keeping with Hoi An’s melting pot of cultures. Delve into Vietnamese culture with lantern making and cookery classes.
Include a tour of My Son and Hoi An, by starting your day with a pickup from your central Hoi An accommodations. From there, you will drive to My Son, a World Heritage Site located 50km southwest of Hoi An. Situated in a lush valley, My Son was the capital and religious centre of the Cham people. The remains now are towers and sanctuaries, built between the 7th and 13th centuries. Your guide will explain the importance of the structures and what they represent to local people in the modern day. After leaving My Son return to Hoi An, visiting local crafters along the way. Seeing the way they weave silk that comes from silkworms they had bred, followed by lunch in a local homestay. Boarding a boat to complete your return, upon your arrival in Hoi An follow your guide as they lead you on tour of Hoi An City. See the 400-year old Japanese bridge, 300-year old Chinese temple, and a 200-year old former merchant's house.
Days 11 - 14
Check out of your hotel and a driver will take you to Danang airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City, where you will be met upon arrival and transferred to the Sofitel Plaza Saigon a smart city hotel located on the historical, tree-lined boulevard of Le Duan in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City's. With spectacular views over the dazzling skyline, the outdoor rooftop pool allows guests the ideal surroundings to relax.
After enjoying your first evening in the once called city of Saigon, start your day with a fascinating visit at some of the famous sights in Ho Chi Minh City such as the colonial Notre Dame Cathedral and the Post Office, experience the war history of Vietnam with a visit to the War Remnants Museum and the Reunification Palace followed by the Cu Chi Tunnels, were you can squeeze down the tunnels and get a real feel of the guerrilla warfare of the Vietnamese.
No visit to Ho Chi Minh City would be complete without a trip on the Mekong Delta, step away from the bustling city of Saigon and embark into the river maze of the Mekong Delta. Whilst weaving through this water wonderland your guide is full of interesting stories, you will visit interactive workshops, sample fresh delicacies and marvel over breath taking views.
Days 14 – 16
Today you will leave wonderful Vietnam for the bright lights of Singapore, upon arriving at Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, you will be met by Colourful Koi Pond at the Waterfall Garden nestled amidst 15 acres of lush greenery, Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore, is a place like no other.
When you have taken in the shopping choices in Singapore, from the wonderful roadside antique shops and the street noodle stalls to the glamorous new designer shopping malls along Orchard Road, the luxurious sanctuary of Shangri-La will embrace you as you step onto its grounds.
Day 16
You will be met by your driver for your journey to Singapore airport ready for your flight home.
