Days 1-4
Fly direct from the UK to Toronto with one of our partner airlines, Air Canada, British Airways or American Airlines. Upon arrival into Toronto, pick up your transfer and go directly to the Fairmont Royal York Hotel where you will spend the first 3 nights.
During your stay, head towards the Niagara Peninsula, the leading wine-growing region of Ontario with its spectacular lush scenery, before heading off to Niagara Falls - one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Board the 'Maid of the Mist' for a boat ride to the bottom of the Horseshoe Falls and view some of the most stunning views that nature has to offer. After stopping for lunch, you will drive down the Niagara Parkway, passing through the charming village of Niagara-On-The-Lake, before returning back to Toronto.
Days 4-6
Head to Union Station where you will board the Canadian, for your overnight journey to Western Canada. View the magnificently rugged scenery of the Canadian Shield as you journey north to the Great Lakes. Here you will see some of the oldest rock formations in North America, surrounded by thousands of fresh water lakes and towering forests. The train will be due to cross the border into the province of Manitoba in the early hours of the evening, at which point it will stop briefly in Winnipeg. After a chance to stretch your legs, board the train again for your overnight journey across the prairies.
Days 6-7
Today you will arrive at the Canadian Rockies as you travel on to Jasper, where you will be spending the night at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Relax and enjoy Jasper and its surrounding areas at your leisure, with serene lakes and jagged mountain peaks, the panoramic views here are out of this world. Visit the Miette Hot Springs, found high in the Rocky Mountains in the Jasper National Park. Here, water flows from the springs and is heated geothermally making it one of the hottest springs in the Canadian Rockies. Soak in the warm, mineral-rich waters whilst taking in the magnificent views.
Days 7-8
Begin by travelling along one of the most scenic roads in the world. Journey along the Icefields Parkway on your way to Banff, lined by majestic mountains, towering above you on your way down the winding trail. On arrival into the Columbia Icefield, ride on the Ice Explorer to the Athabasca Glacier before arriving at Lake Louise; with its abundant wildlife, awe-inspiring natural mountain scenes and shimmering lake, capturing the reflections of the surrounding beauty. Stay tonight at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
Days 8-10
Enjoy today exploring Lake Louise before heading off to Banff along the meandering roads of the Banff National Park. Enjoy a two night stay at the Fairmont Banff Springs.
Spend the following day at your leisure whether you wish to relax and unwind at the hotel, or further explore the Banff region.
Days 10-11
Today you will be boarding the Rocky Mountaineer on your way to Kamloops. Sit back, relax and enjoy the fantastic service on-board, giving you the perfect opportunity to take in some of the most remarkable scenery along the way.
Your accommodation for this evening will be allocated by the Rocky Mountaineer.
Days 11-15
Re-board the Rocky Mountaineer and continue your route on to the Pacific Coast City of Vancouver, found nestled in one of the most magnificent natural settings of Canada. Here you will enjoy a 4 night stay at the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver.
What better way to explore the sights and sounds of Vancouver then with a hop-on-hop-off trolley tour? Take in sights such as Gastown, Granville Island, Stanley Park and its brightly coloured totem poles, English Bay and so much more.
We have also organised a full day-trip to Victoria, where you will start by cruising through the picturesque Gulf Islands, then on to the Butchart Gardens, all before continuing on to Victoria for a sightseeing tour to include the charming stately homes and gardens.
Day 15
As your Canadian adventure holiday comes to an end, head towards the airport for your return flight home from Vancouver, direct back to the UK.
