Elafonisi beach is located on Crete and happens to be considered by many as Greece’s best beach - the low-lying inlet is tinted pink thanks to crushed up shells and the white-golden sand is surrounded by a turquoise lagoon of calm waters. Perfect for sunbathing, taking a dip, relaxing and letting the little one’s play! Those fascinated by ancient history and Crete culture will love visiting the archaeological site of Knossos, said date to around 7000BC and be ‘Europe’s oldest city’.
