Disney's Pop Century Resort is one of Disney's five Value Resorts and offers some of the most affordable rates on the Walt Disney World property. At Disney's Pop Century Resort, each area is dedicated to a specific decade from the 1950s to the 1990s. At Classic Hall, you'll find the main lobby, front desk, arcade, gift shop, and food court area. Transportation

Firstly, let's begin with the main reason we love, and you love, Disney's Pop Century Resort: the Disney Skyliner. Disney's Pop Century Resort shares a Skyliner station with Disney's Art of Animation Resort, and it is just a short walk from the main lobby at Classic Hall to the Disney Skyliner station. From Disney's Pop Century Resort, you soar high above Hourglass Lake to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort station, where you can transfer lines to head directly to Disney's Hollywood Studios or Epcot. You can also hop on a complimentary bus service to visit other areas of the Walt Disney World property, including Disney's Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, the Disney water parks, and Disney Springs.

The Disney Skyliner is an absolute highlight of staying at Disney's Pop Century Resort and we recommend not only taking the Disney Skyliner to the theme parks but also to Disney's Boardwalk area. Here, you can enjoy walking around Crescent Lake, visit Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's Yacht Club Resort, Disney's Boardwalk Inn, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort, and walk to Epcot! You can also enjoy an afternoon riding a Surrey bike around the lake and playing fairground games at Disney's Boardwalk.

The Rooms

The rooms at Disney's Pop Century Resort were updated and refurbished in 2018. All rooms now feature queen-size beds instead of double beds, Mickey and Pluto pop art, and a Murphy bed that pulls down to offer more space when not in use. In a standard room at Disney's Pop Century Resort, you can expect a TV, hair dryer, in-room safe, coffee maker, ironing board and iron, mini-fridge, and telephone.

Amenities

At Disney's Pop Century Resort, you'll find three themed swimming pools. The largest pool, closest to Classic Hall, is the Hippy Dippy Pool, which features flower-shaped water jets and a “groovy vibe”. On select nights, you can watch a movie under the stars here. The second themed pool takes you back to the 1950s - the Bowling Pool, which is shaped like a bowling pin and is a great place to spend an afternoon. The third pool, the Computer Pool, includes a giant floppy disc and keypad, and is reminiscent of the 1990s.

Disney's Pop Century Resort also features a one-mile jogging trail, a playground great for kids, an arcade offering games for both children and parents alike, and the Everything Pop shopping and dining experience where you can purchase souvenirs and enjoy meals at the food court. Guests also have access to 30 minutes of extra time in the theme parks with Early Theme Park Entry.

Considerations

As a Disney Value Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort offers an affordable price point for staying on-site. However, Disney's Pop Century Resort is more expensive than other Disney Value Resorts such as the Disney All-Star Resorts. You do however have access to slightly more amenities, such as the Disney Skyliner stop being right on your doorstep, and larger queen-sized beds coming as standard in the rooms.

Overall, if you're looking for an affordable on-site stay at Walt Disney World with more amenities than the Disney All-Star Resorts, then Disney's Pop Century Resort is the perfect choice for you. However, if you're visiting in 2025 and plan to book the Disney Free Dining and Drinks offer, we recommend staying at a Disney Moderate Resort instead. At Disney's Pop Century Resort, guests only receive the allotment of a Free Quick-Service Meal, despite paying more than at other Disney Value Resorts. In contrast, Disney Moderate Resorts offer the Free Quick-Service Dining Plan, providing better value for your stay.
