Two sides of Florida in one easy holiday: four nights by the ocean in Miami Beach, then five slow days at the very end of the Florida Keys in Key West. Start with four nights at the Holiday Inn Miami Beach – Oceanfront, right on the sand in Mid-Beach. From here it's a short hop to the pastel Art Deco hotels of South Beach, the giant murals of Wynwood and the cafés and cigar shops of Little Havana, with plenty of time left for long afternoons on the beach.
Then take the short flight south to Key West. It's laid-back, quirky and closer to Havana than to Miami. Your base is the Margaritaville Beach House Key West, just across the road from Smathers Beach. Stroll past gingerbread-trimmed conch houses, toast the sunset at Mallory Square, sail out to the only living coral barrier reef in the continental US, or take a day trip to the remote island fort of Dry Tortugas.
To finish, fly back to Miami for a relaxed final night at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Miami Airport, minutes from the terminal, before your flight home.
By booking with Charter Travel, you benefit from full ABTA and ATOL protection, providing complete peace of mind. Your 2027 Florida holiday package is secure, whether it includes just flights and hotel, or a full itinerary with excursions, car hire, and more. Charter Travel’s expertise in tailor-made Florida holidays means you’ll receive personalised service and competitive prices every time.
Fly direct from the UK to Miami, where your transfer takes you across the causeway to the Holiday Inn Miami Beach – Oceanfront, your home for the next four nights. The hotel sits right on the beach in Mid-Beach, with an outdoor pool and poolside bar for that first well-earned drink. If there's daylight left, kick off your shoes for a first walk along the sand.
Three full days to discover the city at your own pace.
Head down to South Beach for a guided walking tour of the Art Deco Historic District, home to hundreds of pastel-painted buildings from the 1930s and 40s. Your guide will bring the stories behind the porthole windows, racing stripes and "eyebrow" ledges to life, along with the glamour and gangsters that made Miami Beach famous. Come back after dark to see Ocean Drive's façades glowing in neon.
Cross the bay to Wynwood, a former warehouse district reborn as one of the world's great outdoor galleries. At Wynwood Walls, internationally renowned street artists have turned blank brick into vast, vivid murals, and the surrounding streets are packed with independent galleries, craft breweries and coffee shops.
Spend a morning in Little Havana, the heart of Miami's Cuban community. Along Calle Ocho, follow the scent of fresh-rolled cigars, order a sweet, strong cafecito from a street-side window, and watch the locals play dominoes in Máximo Gómez Park. Stay for lunch: a Cuban sandwich or ropa vieja is a must. And in between, there's the beach, right outside your hotel. Wide, pale sand and warm Atlantic water make lazy afternoons almost obligatory.
Check out and take the short flight south to Key West. On a clear day, look out for the chain of islands and turquoise shallows of the Florida Keys stretching out below.
The Margaritaville Beach House Key West is just a few minutes from the airport, across the road from Smathers Beach, the island's longest stretch of sand. Settle in by the pool, then head into Old Town for your first Key West sunset.
Four full days to slow right down. Key West moves to its own rhythm, and the best way to enjoy it is to hire a bicycle and wander the shady streets of Old Town, past white clapboard conch houses draped in bougainvillea.
Every evening, the island gathers at Mallory Square for its famous Sunset Celebration. Street performers, jugglers, musicians and food stalls fill the waterfront as the sun drops into the Gulf, usually to a round of applause.
Step inside the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, the Spanish Colonial house where the author wrote some of his best-known work in the 1930s. Today it's home to dozens of cats, many descended from his own six-toed cat, Snow White.
The Florida Keys sit beside the only living coral barrier reef in the continental US, and Key West is the perfect base for exploring it. Join a catamaran or schooner trip to snorkel the reef, or simply sail out at sunset with a glass of something cold.
For something truly memorable, take a day trip by ferry or seaplane to Dry Tortugas National Park, 70 miles west of Key West. This cluster of tiny islands is home to the vast 19th-century Fort Jefferson, surrounded by beaches and crystal-clear water perfect for snorkelling.
Enjoy a final morning on the beach before flying back to Miami. Tonight you'll stay at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott Miami Airport, around two miles from the terminal, with a free airport shuttle, an outdoor pool and breakfast included. It's an easy, stress-free last night before the journey home.
On your final day, there's time for some last-minute shopping or a final dip in the pool before the hotel shuttle takes you to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK.

UK passport holders don't usually need a visa for a holiday, but you must have an approved ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) before you fly. Apply online through the official US government website at least 72 hours before departure, and check your passport is valid for your whole stay.
By a short flight of around an hour, which is included in your holiday. It saves the four-hour drive down the Overseas Highway, giving you more time on the beach. Your Key West hotel is just a few minutes from the airport.
The Holiday Inn Miami Beach – Oceanfront is right on the beach in Mid-Beach, a short taxi or bus ride north of South Beach. The beach boardwalk runs along the shore too, so you can walk or cycle south along the ocean.
Key West is small and flat, so a bicycle is the easiest and most fun way to explore. The Margaritaville Beach House also runs a shuttle to Old Town and the airport, covered by the hotel's resort fee, which is payable locally.
We recommend it for the Dry Tortugas day trip, as ferry and seaplane places are limited and often sell out, especially in winter and spring. Reef sailing and snorkelling trips can usually be booked a day or two ahead once you arrive, though booking early guarantees your preferred date.
