After breakfast, head into Sri Lanka's tea-growing heartland, with spectacular views of rolling hills, waterfalls and emerald-green tea plantations along the way. The hotel runs bicycle tours through the plantations and surrounding villages - a relaxed way to see how the leaf gets from bush to teapot. In the afternoon, a hotel-organised village visit gives a proper glimpse of everyday rural life.
Stay at Dream Cliff
Continue your honeymoon into the spectacular highlands as you travel to Haputale, one of Sri Lanka's most scenic regions. Home for the next 2 nights is Dream Cliff, a small boutique stay set high above the valley with views over the mountains. Stay at Wild Glamping
Leaving the highlands, your honeymoon continues to Gal Oya National Park, one of Sri Lanka's lesser-visited wilderness areas, for two nights of glamping. On arrival, a boat safari across the Senanayake Samudraya reservoir offers something few places in the world can: elephants swimming between islands, plus basking crocodiles and plenty of birdlife along the way.
A second night at the glamping lodge, with the day free to explore further. There's the option of a guided walk through the Rathugala jungle alongside a Veddah community guide, learning about their traditional way of life.

Travelling south, the next stop is Yala National Park, famous for having one of the highest leopard populations anywhere on earth. Tonight you're staying at Cinnamon Wild, right on the edge of the park, ready for an evening under the stars after a day spent looking for wildlife.

Enjoy a morning safari rounds at Yala National Park before heading to the beaches of Talpe on the south coast. Checking into Apa Villa, a small boutique hotel by the Indian Ocean, and relax by the pool or the stunning beach.
A second night at Apa Villa, with a day trip to the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort - colonial-era streets now lined with cafés, galleries and independent shops. Lunch overlooking the ocean and a wander along the ramparts make for an easy, atmospheric day before heading back to Talpe for a final evening by the sea.
Stay at Galle Face Hotel
After breakfast, it's on to Colombo for the final night, staying at the Galle Face Hotel. There's time to explore the city's mix of colonial buildings, markets and modern cafés before a farewell dinner.
A private transfer takes you to the airport for the flight home, bringing to a close a honeymoon that's taken in tea estates, mountain views, wildlife safaris and stretches of quiet coastline.

Hatton is the gateway to Sri Lanka's tea country, surrounded by rolling plantations, waterfalls and mist-covered hills. It's one of the most scenic stretches of the whole trip, and staying at a tea estate hotel like The Argyle gives couples a proper taste of "Little England" — cool mountain air, colonial-style architecture and sweeping valley views.
Beyond the views, Hatton is best explored slowly: cycling through the plantations, visiting a working tea factory to see leaf-to-cup production, and joining a village walk for a closer look at rural Sri Lankan life. It's a relaxed couple of nights built around scenery rather than sightseeing.
Haputale sits high in the southern hill country, roughly a two-hour drive from Hatton, and is known for some of the best panoramic views in Sri Lanka. It's quieter and less touristy than nearby Ella, making it a good choice for couples wanting a more secluded, boutique base - Dream Cliff is a favourite for its private terraces and valley outlooks.
Lipton's Seat is the standout - the spot where Sir Thomas Lipton is said to have surveyed his tea empire. It's an early-morning favourite for catching the mist lifting off the valleys, and pairs well with a night or two in Haputale to enjoy the area at a slower pace.
Wild Glamping Gal Oya is a boutique tented lodge on the edge of Gal Oya National Park, offering a comfortable but immersive way to experience one of Sri Lanka's least-visited wilderness areas. Guests fall asleep to jungle sounds and wake up close to the national park's lakes and forest, without giving up creature comforts.
Gal Oya is best known for its boat safaris across the Senanayake Samudraya reservoir, where elephants can sometimes be seen swimming between islands — a sight rarely found elsewhere. It's a quieter, less-crowded alternative to a traditional jeep safari, and pairs naturally with a jeep-based safari in Yala later in the itinerary for two very different wildlife experiences.
