Stay at Jetwing Blue, Negombo
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport, where you will be welcomed by your private chauffeur-guide. From the airport, take a short drive to the coastal town of Negombo and check in to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and settling in after your flight.
Stay at Mountbatten Bungalow, Kandy
After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Kandy, travelling through the beautiful countryside and into Sri Lanka’s central hills. On arrival, check in to your hotel and enjoy some time to relax. In the evening, visit the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, followed by a traditional Kandyan Cultural Dance performance. Enroute, visit the elephant orphanage at Pinnewela.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before setting out on a short tuk-tuk tour around Kandy, taking in the city’s charming streets, local sights and beautiful surroundings. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the hill country at your own pace.
Stay at EKHO Ella
After breakfast, check out and travel towards Nanu Oya through Sri Lanka’s scenic hill country. Along the way, visit a tea factory and plantation to learn how the island’s famous Ceylon tea is grown and produced. From Nanu Oya Railway Station, board the scenic train to Ella and enjoy beautiful views of tea plantations, mountains, waterfalls and countryside along the way. On arrival in Ella, meet your chauffeur-guide and transfer to your hotel.
Visit some of Ella’s best-known attractions. Explore the beautiful Nine Arch Bridge, surrounded by lush greenery and tea-covered hills, before continuing to Ravana Falls. Take some time to enjoy the scenery and capture few special memories. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Stay at Cinnamon Wild
Travelling south, the next stop is Yala National Park, famous for having one of the highest leopard populations anywhere on earth. Tonight you're staying at Cinnamon Wild, right on the edge of the park, ready for an evening under the stars after a day spent looking for wildlife.
Stay at Apa Villa
Enjoy a morning safari rounds at Yala National Park before heading to the beaches of Talpe on the south coast. Checking into Apa Villa, a small boutique hotel by the Indian Ocean, and relax by the pool or the stunning beach.
A second night at Apa Villa, with a day trip to the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort - colonial-era streets now lined with cafés, galleries and independent shops. Lunch overlooking the ocean and a wander along the ramparts make for an easy, atmospheric day before heading back to Talpe for a final evening by the sea.
A private transfer takes you to the airport for the flight home, bringing to a close a honeymoon that's taken in tea estates, mountain views, wildlife safaris and stretches of quiet coastline.

For this itinerary, which finishes on the south coast, the driest and sunniest months are generally December to April. Our Sri Lanka specialists can advise on the best time to travel for your dates and adjust the route if needed.

Yes. You'll board the scenic train from Nanu Oya to Ella, one of the most beautiful rail journeys in the world, passing tea plantations, mountains and waterfalls. Your chauffeur-guide will meet you on arrival in Ella and take you to your hotel.
Yala National Park has one of the highest leopard populations anywhere on earth, giving you an excellent chance of a sighting. As with any wildlife experience, sightings can't be guaranteed, but the park is also home to elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, water buffalo and a huge variety of birdlife.
Yala usually has a short annual closure, typically around September to October. If you're travelling during this period, we can suggest an alternative such as Udawalawe National Park, which is famous for its elephants.
