Days 1-15
You will be staying at the Gran Caribe Real Resort & Spa, part of the Real Hotel group. Stretching over a quarter mile of white, sandy beach, every need is seamlessly taken care of. Being described as an awe-inspiring resort, it delivers an exciting traditional (and unique) Mexican vacation experience every time. While modest at 487 rooms, you will be enticed by a vast multitude of bars, restaurants and attention to even the smallest of detail. Renowned for families, its Oki Kids club (4-12) will keep the kids occupied with water sports, face painting, crafts and countless activities. The ever increasingly hard-to-please teenagers are not forgotten about either with the teen zone (12-17) providing a safe, relaxed club and programme of activities where they can gather, socialise and chill-out. (It may be a challenge at dinner time to drag them away!) Mum and Dad are not forgotten about either, with an array of sun loungers on the beach to events and activities run by easy going and not pushy staff, there just will not be enough hours in the day (you must try the couples massage!). Most important of all, it is all ultra inclusive!
Family activities do not just stop at the resort! A truly magical experience to share as a family is to swim with dolphins, where the program is tailor made to suit young and old alike. Oh, and for the more adventurous there is even a chance to swim with sharks! Following on with the water theme, there are a number of water parks to spend a day or two at for a change of scenery. How about taking a trip out on a catamaran, exploring amongst other things the second largest coral reef in the world? A popular on land tour is the Selvatica Canopy Tour, using zip lines to explore the lush woodland. There is even an eco-archaeological theme park for children with a more inquisitive nature along with the Cancun interactive aquarium. Horseback riding is considerably popular, especially at sunset.
