Yes - New York, Toronto and Niagara Falls can easily be combined into a single multi-centre holiday. A popular route is to fly into New York, travel on to Niagara Falls, then finish in Toronto (or vice versa) before flying home, typically over 7-10 nights.
Around 7-9 nights is ideal: 3-4 nights in New York, 2 nights at Niagara Falls, and 3-4 nights in Toronto. This allows enough time to see the key sights in each city without feeling rushed, though the trip can be shortened or extended to suit your budget and available time.
Most travellers fly into New York first, then take a short flight to Toronto followed by a road transfer to Niagara Falls (or straight to Niagara Falls from Toronto Airport), before finishing with a few nights in Toronto and flying home from there. This route avoids doubling back and makes the most of onward flight connections.
Whilst Niagara Falls can be done as a day trip from Toronto, we think the experience is much more enjoyable when you choose to stay for a fews nights at Niagara Falls so you can experience all the things on offer including the Maid of the Mist, visit Cave of the Winds, and explore Niagara on the Lake.
UK passport holders need a valid ESTA to enter the USA and an eTA to enter Canada. Both are quick, inexpensive online applications and should be arranged before you travel — check the current requirements on the official USA ESTA and Canada eTA websites.
Prices for a New York, Toronto and Niagara Falls multi-centre holiday start from around £1695pp, based on two adults sharing, including direct flights and the hotels featured in the sample itinerary. As every holiday is tailor-made, costs will vary depending on travel dates, hotel choice, and trip duration. It doesn't typically include transfers between cities (these can be pre-booked as part of your package), or optional excursions such as the Maid of the Mist, a Niagara helicopter tour, or the CN Tower's EdgeWalk.
While a short internal flight between New York and Toronto is the fastest way to link the two cities, ground transfers cover Toronto to Niagara Falls easily (around 1.5–2 hours), keeping the number of flights on the trip to just two - outbound and return.
