Days 1-3
Fly direct from London to Boston direct on Virgin Atlantic or British Airways on arrival pick up your car hire from the Alamo car rental desk, spend the first 2 days exploring this beautiful historic city, take a trip to Castle Island taking is its rich history and great views - the hotel chosen for you is the Hilton Boston Woburn.
Days 3-5
Travel from Boston to Mid Coast Maine if you fancy a little shopping then stop off at Kittery for some factory outlet therapy. In Portland enjoy the rich history and pay a visit to the Old Port Exchange and try some of the famous Lobster.
Drive to the entrance of the Acadia National Park on Mt Desert Island. Take in the breath taking scenery of the park whilst in Bay Harbor take a short cruise on the Atlantic in search of whales - the hotel picked for the 2 nights is the Wonder view Inn.
Days 5-7
Bay Harbor to White Mountains, the White Mountains offer fantastic surroundings take a trip to historic Mt Washington. Take the scenic Conway Railroad and visit the fabulous granite of the Flume Gorge - 2 nights at the Lodge at Lincoln Station.
Days 7-9
White Mountains to Northern Vermont, on arriving in Vermont not to be missed is the famous factory for Ben and Jerry's ice cream. Unspoilt naturel beauty of the Green Mountains visiting traditional New England towns and villages along the way - hotel for the 2 nights Commodores Inn.
Days 9-10
Northern Vermont to Newport, heading into the Berkshire hills make a stop at Manchester village staying 1 night at the Sturbridge Host Hotel.
Days 10-12
Head off on your way to Newport pay a visit to Old Sturbridge village and Mystic and visit the Seaport Museum the largest in America. In Newport you can spend time on the beach or travel along the coast and see the amazing mansions that dot the coastline the water front is a great place to sit and watch the world go by - hotel offered is the Howard Johnson Newport for 2 nights.
Days 12-14
The last port of call travel from Newport to Cape Cod there is so much to see and experience in Cape Cod, relax and unwind on the sandy beaches or take a trip whale watching. A day trip to the beautiful Islands of Nantucket or Martha's Vineyard or both can finish off your trip - hotel picked is the Cape Cod Holiday Inn for the 2 nights.
Day 14
Drive from Cape Cod back to Boston approximately 75 miles the flights depart in the evening so time to take in the views on the way.
